  • The water quality data presented in this section include daily 1km MOD21 chlorophyll-a pigment concentration from the MODIS Aqua satellite, and 250m daily turbidity derived from MODIS Aqua and Terra satellites by researchers at the University of South Florida. Daily 4km observed precipitation data from the National Weather Service – River Forecast Centers utilize a multi-sensor approach which combines WSR-88D NEXRAD radar data with ground-based rainfall gauge reports. The observation periods for the data presented in this section begin on January 1, 2003 and end at varying dates in 2013-14, reflecting data availability at the time data were acquired.
